The Evangelical United Brethren Church of Peace was organized in 1909. An edifice was erected in 1910 at the corner of Nichols and Ridgewood Avenues in the Cypress Hills area of Queens (now part of Brooklyn). The second church was built on the same site and dedicated on April 26, 1953. In 1974 the congregation merged with Goodsell Memorial United Methodist Church, and the building was sold to Iglesia Bautista del Este.
