St. Elizabeth's parish was founded in 1873 to serve German catholics in an area originally comprising Woodhaven, Union Crouse, Clarenceville, Aqueduct and Brooklyn Hills. It seems likely that the first church was built soon thereafter. The parochial school, erected in 1913, was administered by the Seven Sisters of St. Dominic and provided space for 300 pupils. The present church may have been erected in 1930, coninciding with the date of the present organ. Today, this area of Queens is known as Ozone Park.

Electro-pneumatic action
2 manuals, 17 stops, 9 ranks

The present organ, built in 1930 by the Midmer-Losh Organ Company, is installed in two cases. The following specifications were recorded (Dec. 8, 2009) by Barry Kloda, who noted that the main chests have 58 notes, but there are additional three-note chests on both sides to extend the manual compass to 61 notes. It seems possible that Midmer-Losh rebuilt the 1888 Felgemaker organ and moved it from the previous church.
