Carroll Theatre

381 Utica Avenue at Carroll Street
Brooklyn, N.Y. 11213

The 1863-seat Carroll Theatre, located in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn, opened in 1927, and was designed by Charles Sandblom. The Carroll was originally part of the Supreme Circuit, one of the many companies that William Fox acquired in the late 1920s. After Fox went bankrupt, the Carroll and the other ex-Supreme Circuit theatres landed under Randforce management. The theatre eventually closed and is now used as a church.
