Embassy Theatre

3208 Fulton Street at Richmond Street (Cypress Hills)
Brooklyn, N.Y. 11208

The Embassy Theatre was built on the site of the Concord Theatre. Opened in 1914, the Concord was built for the Concord Photoplay Company, Inc. On the 115 by 132 foot plot were the 600-seat indoor theatre and a 1,200-seat open-air theatre for the summer months. The Concord closed in 1926 and was replaced in 1927 by a new building. As designed by Harrison G. Wiseman, the new Embassy Theatre could accomodate 1,448 patrons. The Embassy closed in 1968 and the building was razed.
