Flatbush Theatre

2207 Church Avenue at Flatbush Avenue
Brooklyn, N.Y. 11226

The 1605-seat Flatbush Theatre, designed by architect Robert Rasmussen, featured vaudeville, plays, and occasional movies. In later years it was taken over and operated by the Brandt Theatres Circuit, which closed it in 1952. After the theatre closed, the marquee was removed, and it became a rug and carpet store.
