Francis Greer Goodman (c.1902-1938) was the son of Patrick Goodman and Mary Greer Goodman. His father was owner and president of the Safety Gas Main Stopper Company, a manufacturing concern of gas appliances. Upon his father's death in 1931, Francis became president of the company.

Mr. Goodman lived in the family home at 652 East 18th Street. He often joined with his mother and sister, Elizabeth, to present musicales for various Catholic organizations. He died on September 4, 1938, at the age of 36. His obituary in The Brooklyn Daily Eagle (Sep. 7, 1938) states that, "He was a member of Columbus Council, 126, K. of C., Brooklyn Lodge of Elks, the Holy Name Society, and St. Vincent de Paul Society. He also held the office of Faithful Organist in the Fourth Degree Long Island General Assembly, K. of C." His funeral, a solemn requiem mass, was held on September 7, 1938, at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

The Estey organ in Mr. Goodman's residence was originally built in 1909 for Arthur S. Hyde, Organist & Choirmaster of St. Bartholomew's Church in New York City, and installed in his residence in The Central Park Studios at 15 West 67th Street. Correspondence (Aug. 31, 1916) in the Estey Organ Museum states that tise organ had been sold to Mr. P[ietro]. A. Yon, who with his brother, Constantino, had opened the Yon Music Studios in 1914.

Another letter (Apr. 12, 1930) in the Estey Organ Museum states that Pietro Yon sold the organ to Mr. F. G. Goodman, who had it installed in his Brooklyn residence. The following specification is from the Estey Organ Company ledger book, regarding the organ in its Brooklyn location.
