The Sanders Theatre, located in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn, opened in August 1928. It was built on the site of the 600-seat Marathon Theatre (1908-1927). Decorated in the Moorish style, the Sanders had seats for 1,516 patrons. It was closed in 1978, and stood unused for over a decade.

In September 1995, the Sanders was taken over by a new operator, who made renovations and reopened in 1996 as the Pavilion Theatre with 3-screens. By October 2004, it had been converted into a 9-screen cinema.

Wurlitzer Organ Company
North Tonawanda, N.Y. – Opus 1816 (1927)
Electro-pneumatic action
Style E
2 manuals, 7 ranks

This organ was shipped to the Marathon Theatre on December 19, 1927. However, the Marathon was torn down in 1928 and replaced with the Sanders Theatre. It seems likely that the organ was moved to or installed in the new theatre.
