The RKO Shore Road Theatre opened in 1924 and had 1474 seats. With the arrival of television, RKO decided to concentrate on the Dyker Theatre and closed the Shore Road sometime in the 1950s. In subsequent years, the theatre has been converted to retail use.

A new organ by Marr & Colton was installed in 1926, with alterations or additions in 1928. Specifications for this organ have not yet been located.

This organ had an electric detached "theatre type" console, and was voiced on 6" wind pressure. When the Marr & Colton organ was installed in 1926, the Estey organ was relocated to the Universal Theatre in Fitchburg, Mass.
