Opened as the Willis Theatre in 1923, the 2,166-seat theatre was located on Willis Avenue at 138th Street. In 1939, the Willis was expensively renovated and renamed the Casino to coincide with the New York World's Fair then in progress. At some point the Casino closed as a movie house and today houses a supermarket.
