The Freeman Theatre opened around 1922 with a little over 1600 seats. Located on Southern Boulevard between Freeman and Home Streets, it was operated for a time by Loew's. In the 1970s, the Freeman featured Spanish programming. The Freeman closed during the 1970s, and today sits vacant.
