Loew's Victory Theatre
3024 Third Avenue at 156th Street
The Bronx, N.Y. 10455
When it opened in 1910, this theatre was known as Miner's-in-the-Bronx and featured burlesque and vaudeville. The owners also operated the famous Miner's on the Bowery in Manhattan. In 1915, the theatre was sold to the Loew's organization, who renamed it the Victory, quite possibly with the hope that a quick conclusion of the great war that was taking place in Europe would not involve or spread to the United States.
The 1,772-seat Loew's Victory closed in the late 1950s and was ultimately demolished. |

The Factory Specifications for this organ, dated February 24, 1922, show that Möller provided a three-manual stop-key console, and voiced the organ on 5" wind pressure. This organ cost $8,000 and was to be ready for use on or before June 24, 1922. |
