RKO Castle Hill Theatre

1320 Castle Hill Avenue
The Bronx, N.Y. 10462

The 1000-seat Castle Hill Theatre opened in September 1927. Architect William Shary employed an English Tudor motif, including half-timbered gables and roofline crenelations. At some point, the RKO chain took over the theatre, which continued as a movie theatre until 1969. The building is now occupied by Crossroads Tabernacle.
