Tercera Iglesia Bautista (Third Spanish Baptist Church) purchased the former Alexander Avenue Baptist Church in 1954. Designed by Frank Ward and built from 1901-02, the church and adjoining three-story parsonage are in a modified Romanesque style, and constructed of granite and brick with limestone trimmings. There are two entrances on Alexander Avenue, one being at the base of a square tower set at an angle to the corner. The basement of the church building contains the Sunday school rooms and a ladies' parlor, above which are a Trustees' room and the auditorium with seating for 750. Pews, furnishings and the ceiling are of quartered oak.
