Loew's 86th Street Theatre
162 East 86th Street
New York, N.Y. 10028
The 1914-1915 American Motion Picture Directory listed an "86th Street Theatre," but in April 1916 it was renamed "Loew's 86th Street Theatre" after it was acquired by Marcus Loew’s Midvale Amusement Corporation. Loew's 86th had seating for 1,410 patrons and featured late-run motion pictures. The theatre occupied a plot with a 28-foot frontage on 86th Street and 91½ feet along 85th Street.
There were two other Loew's theatres on the block:
Loew’s Yorkville and Loew’s Orpheum.
It has not been determined when Loew's 86th Street was closed and demolished.
