Presbyterian Building

The Presbyterian Building, on the southeast corner of Fifth Avenue and 20th Street in the Flatiron District, was erected to house that denomination's domestic and foreign missions departments. It was designed by James B. Baker in the Romanesque Revival style and built from 1894-95.

An organ was built in 1895 by J.H. & C.S. Odell of New York City for the 500-seat chapel of the Presbyterian Building. In 1907, this organ was sold to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lexington Avenue and 88th Street, and moved there by the Hutchings-Votey Organ Company of Boston. |
