The Aeolian Company's Op. 928 was originally an exhibition organ installed in 1902 on the fifth floor of Aeolian Hall at 362 Fifth Avenue. On March 23, 1905, this organ was sold to J. B. Russell for a consideration of $8,500. At that time, the organ had been revised with Italian nomenclature, and included console preparations for an "Arpa Grande" and a "Voce Umana" stop. Four days later, on March 27th, Mr. Russell agreed to purchase the Arpa Grande ($1,500) and Voce Umana ($500).

In 1907 this organ was rebuilt as Op. 1049 (with English nomenclature) and apparently reinstalled in the fifth floor Recital Chamber of Aeolian Hall. It was sold in 1912 to Henry D. Walbridge and installed in his New York City residence.
