Lucy Stella Schieffelin was the daughter of Edgar Schieffelin of Schieffelin & Co., the wholesale drug firm. Miss Schieffelin was an organist and financial supporter of the Guilmant Organ School. Miss Schieffelin died on May 10, 1936.

Estey's Op. 2410, built in 1924 for the Lucy S. Schieffelin Residence, was voiced on 5" wind pressure and included a detached two-manual console. In the Estey Shop Order, dated December 1, 1924, there is a comment in the "Details of Voicing" field: "Very careful. For organist's personal use." This organ was later moved to Trinity Methodist Church, Richmond Hill, Queens, where it is extant.
