The Chapel of the Cross is located on the third floor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Building.

The organ in the Chapel of the Cross was built in 1960 by Austin Organs Inc. of Hartford, Conn, with tonal finishing by Frank Kutschera. Located in the rear of the chapel, the two-manual stop-key console faces the single enclosure that contains all of the pipes and mechanisms. The organ has been unplayable for many years.
