Founded in 1923, the Samuel Rothschild & Sons Funeral Chapel was also known as the West End Funeral Chapel. About 1971 the business became the Plaza Jewish Community Chapel, and the building was radically renovated.

The Möller Factory Specification (Nov. 29, 1933) shows that their Op. 6241 was to be enclosed in a chamber prepared by the purchaser, while Möller would provide a case with a glazed finish, white grills, and decorations in gold bronze. All pipes would be voiced on 5" wind pressure and played from a detached stop-key console of Mahogany. The organ was to be completed by January 29, 1934.
