The Chapel of Saint David's School contains a small English chamber organ which was reputedly installed in a chapel of James I. An unknown organbuilder in England assembled the organ ca. 1790, and its case incorporates some 17th century carvings. The 8' and 4' Flute stops are original, while the 8' Dulciana was added around 1820. In 1922, the Hearst family purchased the organ from French & Co., of London, and later donated the organ to St. David's School. |
