Broadway Theatre

31-15 Broadway
Astoria (Queens), N.Y. 11106

The 1251-seat Broadway Theatre was designed by architect Charles Sandblom and first opened in 1924. The Broadway was one of three theatres built by the S & S Circuit on the west side of Astoria near stations of the BMT elevated subway line. After Fox took over the S& S Circuit, the trio eventually became part of Skouras Theatres. After the theatre closed, the Broadway became a catering hall, currently under the name of Crystal Palace.
