The opening date of the 592-seat New Plaza Theatre in the West New Brighton district of Staten Island is unknown, but it is listed in the 1914-1915 edition of American Motion Picture Directory. It remains listed in editions of Film Daily Yearbook from 1926 thru to at least 1930. The theatre closed at an unknown time.
