O. G. Pouch was born in Brooklyn and attended the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. For several years he worked with various electric and railway companies before joining the American Dock Company, the family business that had piers in Tompkinsville, Staten Island. During the first World War, he was a founder of the Pouch Terminal which operated several piers at Clifton, Staten Island.

Mr. Pouch was married to Gertrude, and together they had a son and a daughter. He was an elder and president of the board of trustees at First Presbyterian Church in Stapleton, and was president of the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce in 1946 and 1947. He was active in the American Society of Civil Engineerings, the Army Athletic Association, the Canadian Club of Manhattan, and the Mendelssohn Glee Club. The Pouch family also owned Sachem's Head, their home in Guilford, Conn. Mr. Pouch died in New Haven, Conn., on December 8, 1949, at the age of 67.

The Estey Shop Order for Op. 2912 shows that it was an "Upright Minuette" model with a Style A Case and piano style bench in Regular Walnut Finish. The organ was voiced on 5" wind pressure and used Haskell basses for the 16' String rank. Pipes were tightly fitted into the case, and the 16' String rank had Haskell basses.

A handwritten note on the Shop Order states, "Loaned to Order of the Eastern Star for Grand Chapter Session, Community Building, Brattleboro, Vt., June 3, 1931 and returned."
