Roman Catholic Church of St. Clare - Staten Island, NY
St. Clare's Church was established in 1918 by nearby St. Patrick's Church as a mission in the Great Kills neighborhood of Staten Island. In 1921, a modest white clapboard church was erected to serve the new congregation, and in 1925, St. Clare's became an independent parish.

During the 1950s, the parish experienced large-scale growth and a much larger colonial-style church was built from 1958-1960 and dedicated by Cardinal Spellman on May 22, 1960. The original church was moved a short distance and continues to serve as the parish chapel. In 1979, the parish added the Cardinal Cooke Center that contains a parish hall and gymnasium. As of 2008, St. Clare Church, with over 7,000 registered families, is the largest Roman Catholic parish on Staten Island, if not in the Archdiocese of New York.

Solid-state key and combination action
3 manuals, 80 registers, 14 stops, 14 pipe ranks

In 2002, the Peragallo Pipe Organ Company enlarged the existing M.P. Möller organ from 1959, reusing all of the Möller pipework. Peragallo provided new gallery divisions that include pipe and digital ranks, and the entire organ is controlled by a movable three-manual terraced drawknob console located in the chancel.

M.P. Möller, Inc.
Hagerstown, Md. – Opus 9415 (1959)
Electro-pneumatic action
2 manuals, 33 registers, 9 stops, 10 ranks

The original organ in the present church was built in 1959 by M.P. Möller of Hagerstown, Md. Möller installed a modified "Double Artiste" in a chamber on the right side of the chancel, augmented by a four-rank Antiphonal division exposed in the gallery. The chancel Swell and Great divisions each had three ranks and were separately enclosed. Möller provided a two-manual tilting-tablet console that was located in the chancel. The Möller Factory Contract, dated July 23, 1959, shows that the organ cost a total of $14,320.
