St. Teresa's Roman Catholic Church was established in 1926, under the leadership of its founding pastor, Monsignor Philip Conran, who would serve the parish for 31 years. Located in the Castleton Corners area of Staten Island, the congregation met for many years in a converted house.
The present brick building was constructed in 1951 and dedicated by Cardinal Francis Spellman in 1952. |

The organ in St. Teresa's Church was built in 2001 by the Peragallo Pipe Organ Company of Paterson, N.J. Known as a "hybrid" or "combo" organ, the instrument contains 16 pipe ranks plus several digital ranks and extentions by Walker Technical Co. of Zionsville, Pa. The organ is contolled by a detached three-manual terraced drawknob console. Felix Hell performed the dedicatory recital on May 20, 2001. |

The second organ in the present church building was an electronic instrument built by the Allen Organ Company. When the Peragallo pipe organ was installed in 2001, the Allen organ was moved to the parish's St. Nicholas Chapel, located at LaBau Avenue and Northern Boulevard. |

The original organ in the present church building was an electric instrument built by the Hammond Musical Instrument Company of Chicago. This instrument served the church until it was replaced by a two-manual Allen electronic organ. |
