Designed by Thomas W. Lamb, the Riverside had 1710 seats. <br> Directly to the north along Broadway was the Rivera Building that included the Riviera Theatre on the lower floors and the Japanese Garden Theater on the upper floors. These three theatres, all designed by Thomas W. Lamb, were part of the so-called &quot;Subway Circuit&quot; of legitimate houses. All three theatres were demolished in 1976.
