More than 100 firefighters were called to the scene. Over the next few years, the church was rebuilt and a new organ was installed, culminating in a service of rededication on June 10, 1979. A school and library were added later.<br> In 2010, the church was listed for sale.

The Factory Specifications (July 18, 1927) show that this organ had a detached three-manual stop-key console, and was to be completed by January 2, 1928. Preparations were made in the console for a future Echo Organ. This organ was destroyed by fire on July 15, 1974. ----------
